Mechanical Accessory Repair Services

Rules of Engagement

MARS work is quote-first, safety-first, and scope-first. These rules explain how K2Aley handles local repair, tune-up, diagnostics, accessories, printed parts, and field service visits.

Rule 1

Start with the problem, not the visit.

K2 Series

Creality Support First

For Creality K2 series printers, customers should contact Creality Support first when the issue may involve warranty, factory parts, firmware, electronics, shipping damage, or a new-printer defect. MARS is for approved local hands-on help, tune-ups, accessories, and non-warranty repair paths.

Intake

Send Details First

Customer sends printer or device model, symptoms, photos, useful video, location area, schedule window, and what has already been tried.

Review

K2Aley Screens The Job

K2Aley reviews whether the job is best handled as a tune-up, MARS field visit, custom repair part, filament guide upgrade, pickup, shipping, or no-service recommendation.

Quote

No Surprise Work

Paid work starts only after the scope, starting price, likely limits, travel, timing, materials, and next steps are confirmed.

Rule 2

MARS covers mechanical service, practical repair, and setup help.

Included

3D Printer Diagnostics

Print quality, motion, belts, bed leveling, Z-offset, extrusion symptoms, jams, filament path problems, rubbing, clicking, and setup checks.

Included

Accessory Repair

Filament guides, brackets, holders, clips, covers, spacers, practical printed repair pieces, and simple mechanical accessory fixes.

Limited

Electronics and Firmware

Basic checks may be discussed, but electrical repair, firmware flashing, board-level repair, and warranty-sensitive work require separate approval or may be declined.

Not Guaranteed

Outcome Limits

Some printers, parts, files, or accessories may be too damaged, unsafe, incomplete, or uneconomical to repair. Diagnosis and recommendations may still be billable if approved.

Rule 3

Field service requires a safe work area.

Access

Clear Workspace

The printer or device must be reachable, powered safely, and placed where basic tools, inspection, and test movement can be performed.

Safety

No Unsafe Conditions

K2Aley may pause or decline service when the location, power setup, machine condition, fumes, sharp damage, heat, liquid, or access creates an unsafe situation.

Customer

Responsible Person Present

An adult customer or approved representative must be available to explain the issue, approve changes, and receive recommendations.

Data

No Passwords Needed

Do not send passwords, payment cards, private keys, or unrelated documents. If a device login is needed, the customer enters it directly.

Rule 4

Approvals control the job.

Before Work

Approve The Scope

K2Aley confirms what will be attempted, what is excluded, and whether the job is diagnostic, repair, tune-up, print, design, or follow-up work.

Parts

Parts Are Separate

Replacement parts, printed parts, filament, hardware, shipping, pickup, travel, and extra work may require a separate quote before proceeding.

Changes

Scope Changes Pause Work

If the job changes after inspection, K2Aley pauses and confirms the new path before continuing paid work.

Records

Written Notes Matter

Email, request form details, authorization notes, quote text, and follow-up messages are used to track what was requested and approved.

Rule 5

After service, the customer gets clear next steps.

Wrap-Up

Service Notes

K2Aley summarizes what was checked, what changed, what still needs attention, and whether a follow-up part, print, or visit is recommended.

Testing

Reasonable Verification

Short checks may confirm motion, extrusion, fit, or setup. Long prints, production runs, and durability testing are separate unless quoted.

Follow-Up

Maintenance Path

Customers may be directed to the maintenance plan, after-service checklist, tips page, or a new quote if the next issue is outside the approved scope.

Ready

Request MARS

Use the intake checklist first, then request service with photos and the clearest description of the problem.
